Background |
Avidin is chromatography purified from egg white. The extinction coefficient, E(1﹪) at 280nm is 15.5. The product is in 10 m M phosphate-buffered saline, Ph 7.4, containing 1﹪ bovine serum albumin, 0.05﹪ sodium azide and 50﹪ glycerol. Avidin(from egg white) is conjugated with FITC. The conjugate is purified by molecular sieving and is completely free of unbound FITC. FITC-Avidin can be used for the detection or localization of biotinylated biomolecules. |
